Peugeot e-208
Peugeot’s first new generation, 100% electric vehicle, the e-208 uses a 50kWh battery and 136hp electric motor to provide a 211 mile range from a full charge and is available in Active Premium, Allure, Allure Premium and range-topping GT and GT Premium trim levels.
Standard equipment includes the Peugeot i-Cockpit with multifunction steering wheel, head-up display, either a 7” or 10” HD colour touchscreen (according to version) and chrome switches. The interior environment can also be personalised with a choice of LED mood lighting colours.
In Active Premium trim, the e-208 costs from £29,725. Active Premium trim features 16-inch alloy wheels, Active Safety Brake with pedestrian detection, electric and heated door mirrors, LED daytime running lights, rear parking sensors and manual air conditioning.
The next model up, prices for e-208 Allure start from £30,375. The e-208 Allure benefits from an electric parking brake, rear full LED 3D ‘Claw Effect’ lights, automatic air conditioning, a rear bumper with gloss black finish and a visibility Pack which includes auto windscreen wipers.
The slightly pricier Allure Premium includes Peugeot's 3D i-Cockpit, a 180° colour reversing camera and four USB sockets. Comfort comes in the form of a ‘Cozy’ leather effect and ‘Isabella’ cloth seat trim. Prices start at £31,025.
The sporty e-208 GT model has larger (17”) alloy wheels, a 10” capacitive colour touchscreen, connected 3D navigation, full LED headlights with Smartbeam assist and, importantly, GT badging and styling. There's quite a jump in price for this, however, with prices starting at £32,975.
At the very top of the range, the e-208 GT Premium boasts keyless entry, adaptive cruise control, lane positioning assist, front heated seats and alcantara and cloth seat trim. This version carries the highest price tag coming in at £33,975.
All e-208 models come with three driving modes – Sport, Normal and Eco – and support rapid charging up to 100kWh, with an 80% charge taking just 30 minutes. Peugeot recommend using a wallbox charger, so the e-208 comes with a Mode 3 Type 2 cable as standard, which will charge the vehicle in 7.5 hours with a 7kW charging point. Customers can also download the MyPeugeot app, which will allows remote charge management, the ability to precondition the temperature of the vehicle and includes ‘e-Coaching’ on how to benefit most from the e-208. For an introductory period, Peugeot offered a ‘Charging Pass’ to enable e-208 drivers to access certain UK public charging points through a free subscription.
